Riding lessons
Riding does not begin in the saddle – it begins on the ground.
In our lessons, children learn not only riding but also groundwork. This teaches them to notice the horse’s body language and to communicate with it in the same language – calmly, clearly, and respectfully. This way the child learns to understand the horse, not just control it.
In groundwork we learn:
-
how to handle a horse safely
-
how to lead and guide it
-
how to notice the horse’s mood and reactions
These are skills that create a strong foundation for everything – riding, training young horses, trailering, competing, or simply enjoying a good ride in nature.
In fact, these skills are needed in almost every situation where a person works with a horse.
When the foundation is strong, riding comes more naturally. And most importantly – cooperation and understanding develop.
